a5c7b9f00b The true story of an English boxer incarcerated in one of Thailand's most notorious prisonshe fights in Muay Thai tournaments to earn his freedom. While this was a good movie, with good acting and directing, I found the entire experience to be painfully slow. Not really what I was expecting at all (in relation to title description). I kept waiting and waiting for something to happen. Not much did actually. Disappointing ending. Watch something else that you won't feel was a wasted 2 hours. I lpve fight films and also true stories, but this was below expectation. Considering this film was meant to be about a boxer fighting for his freedom you would have thought they would have trained the lead actor to actually fight. He cant throw and punch and most of the fight scenes are all over the show and mainly grappling. At once exhausting and astonishing, this no-holds-barred adaptation of British junkie-turned-pugilist Billy Moore’s Thai prison memoir is a big, bleeding feat of extreme cinema, given elevating human dimension by rising star Joe Cole’s ferociously physical lead performance.
